WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN:

This is your opportunity to be part of a small group of people (group size will be limited) who want to explore living a healthy active lifestyle — by letting it happen by itself. We’ll spend a few days focusing on having fun and talking about things that gets us excited. We’ll talk less about food and more about ourselves. Are you with me so far? We'll hike, bike, kayak or snowshoe (depending on the season), we'll talk a bit, we'll share some thoughts and ideas, and we'll play some games that just might reveal a Great Chef lurking in our midst.

THE FUN EVENTS BEING OFFERED:

We’ll explore New England without four wheels.  We'll explore it by using our legs, arms, thighs, and buttocks. Choose from any or all of the following events:

  • Snowshoe Weekend in February (Feb 22-24, 2008)
  • Bike Weekend June 6 - 8
  • Kayak Weekend in August
  • Hike Weekend in October
WHERE:

Locations are still being finalized; February 2008 Retreat From Your Weight Loss will be in either Vermont or New Hampshire. Check back regularly for updates on locations.

ATHLETES DISCOURAGED FROM ATTENDING:

These retreats are not for athletes. You just need to have the desire and will to push yourself to some new limits. You need to be in need of having some fun, hanging with some "healthy minded" people. You need to be ready to play. And if you're an athlete who really sees the fun in this type of a weekend, please arrive with patience.

WHAT IF I CAN'T KEEP UP?

We’ll move along as slow or as fast as we like. We’ll help each other over hills and dales. We’ll be kids; even if for just a few days. But at the end of those few days, if you have done your mental work, you’ll take home ideas and memories to carve out the healthy future you not only want, but deserve.

DO I NEED EQUIPMENT?

It is suggested that you bring your own equipment. If you do not own your own equipment, rental equipment options will be made; in some cases rental equipment will be made available..

AN INVESTMENT IN YOUR HEALTH

Here's the deal. If you are like me you've longed for time to yourself, you've had an urge to try a new activity, and/or you've been looking to expand your social network to include people who understand your struggles. Here's your opportunity to accomplish all that and so much more. Retreat From Weight Loss starts at $375 for a shared room. Private room rate is $495 for the weekend (limited number of single rooms, so register early). All rooms have private baths. One suite is available for a group of three; please contact me to discuss the suite option. You get two nights lodging, six meals, activity support, snacks, maps and directions where applicable, friendship, and a weekend of fun, games and other surprises that cannot be listed here.
